Kuva Space Oy (collectively, “Kuva Space”, “us” or “we”) take your privacy seriously. We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal data, which is any information that is capable of identifying you as an individual person.
This Privacy Policy describes how we handle and protect your personal data in connection with Kuva Space’s business activities, like conferences and events, and client services, and on websites, applications, and communications that post a link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, “the Sites”), in our capacity as data controllers. Please see our Terms of use for more information about our online terms and policies in general.

Information we collect

Kuva Space collects personal data in its business activities. We also collect personal data on our digital touchpoints, our Website, when you sign-up for our newsletter, apply for a job on our Careers portal, or send us an email via our web forms, e.g. contact us. We also collect data through the Kuva Space branded pages and applications on third party social networks (e.g., LinkedIn). The personal data collected varies, and may include information that you provide, such as your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and background information required to apply for a job.

We may also automatically collect information about the devices you use to interact with our Website. The information we automatically collect may include IP address, device identifier, web browser, and browsing information collected through cookies, web beacons, pixels, and other similar technologies on our Website.

Use of information

Kuva Space uses your personal data to respond to your requests for information, process your application, enroll you to our events, send out newsletter, and personalize content for you on our website. We may retain your personal data on file and use it to contact you.

Kuva Space may use first- and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to manage our Website and newsletter and collect analytics about how you use them. Kuva Space may collect information about whether you open or click any links in the newsletter we send to you.

Kuva Space will not intentionally disclose or transfer (and will take reasonable steps to prevent the unauthorized or accidental disclosure of) your personal data to third parties without your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, whether for such third parties’ own marketing purposes or otherwise. Kuva Space may provide access to your personal data to third party service providers engaged by Kuva Space to provide services related to the Sites. All third-party service providers accessing your personal data will act in accordance to this privacy policy and protect the confidentiality, availability and integrity of your personal data.

Security

Kuva Space has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security to protect personal data. Only authorized Kuva Space personnel can access personal data, and these employees are required to treat this information as confidential. Despite these measures, Kuva Space cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will not obtain access to your personal data.

Data retention

Kuva Space retains personal information, as necessary. We may also retain personal data for longer than the duration of the business relationship should we need to retain it to protect ourselves against legal claims or use it for analysis. If you request that we delete your personal data, Kuva Space will make reasonable effort to delete all instances of the information in their entirety.

Consent, changes to Privacy Policy

By using the Website, you consent to the collection, use and storage of your personal data by Kuva Space in the manner described in this Privacy Policy and elsewhere on the website. We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy. If the changes we make to the existing Privacy Policy increases our rights to use your personal data that we have previously collected about you, we will obtain your consent either through an email or by prominently posting about the changes on our Website.

For our website to function properly we use cookies.

To obtain your valid consent for the use and storage of cookies in the browser you use to access our website and to properly document this we use a consent management platform: CookieFirst.

This technology is provided by Digital Data Solutions BV, Plantage Middenlaan 42a, 1018 DH, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Website: https://cookiefirst.com referred to as CookieFirst. When you access our website, a connection is established with CookieFirst’s server to give us the possibility to obtain valid consent from you to the use of certain cookies.

CookieFirst then stores a cookie in your browser in order to be able to activate only those cookies to which you have consented and to properly document this. The data processed is stored until the predefined storage period expires or you request to delete the data.

Certain mandatory legal storage periods may apply notwithstanding the aforementioned. CookieFirst is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of cookies.

The legal basis for this is article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data processing agreement We have concluded a data processing agreement with CookieFirst.

This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that data of our website visitors is only processed in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

Server log files Our website and CookieFirst automatically collect and store information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us.

The following data is collected:

  • Your consent status or the withdrawal of consent
  • Your anonymised IP address
  • Information about your Browser -Information about your Device
  • The date and time you have visited our website
  • The webpage url where you saved or updated your consent preferences
  • The approximate location of the user that saved their consent preference
  • A universally unique identifier (UUID) of the website visitor that clicked the cookie banner
